Ella BD stent used for the first time in India

Ella esophageal stent BD was deployed on 6 March 2010 by Dr V Mohan Prasad in a 70 year old patient with refractory benign stricture. The patient presented with dysphagia for solid food and a known case of benign stricture of esophagus in the middle 1/3rd. The patient underwent balloon dilatation twice in the past and was treated with a sx ella degradable stent BD. The patient will be followed up on a monthly basis.
